"Profils Systèmes, a specialized manufacturer of aluminum profiles for buildings, saw a 10% increase in its activities over the first four months of 2014, despite a generally depressed market. The company achieved this result, in particular, by focusing on improving the quality of its service.
In a globally receding sector, Profils Systems continues to expand its market share. Sales by this factory of extruded aluminum profiles for buildings went up 10% during the first four months of the year, compared to the same period in 2013.
With 370 full-time employees and some fifty part-time staff, the Baillargues-based company (just outside Montpellier) hopes to increase its 2013 sales revenue of €91 million to over €95 million in 2014.
Profils Systèmes was founded in 1987 by Christophe Derré, and later became a subsidiary of the Belgian group, Corialis. The company based its development on innovation and creativity. For the past two years, it also focused specifically on quality of service. Over 95% of all orders to professional clients are now delivered on-time. Christophe Derré admits: "We were very good with innovation and marketing, but less so with our services. A company needs to perform like the crew of a Formula 1 team. To withstand very aggressive foreign competition, no detail is too small to be ignored."
