22 august 2016 - Profils Systemes News

Profils Systèmes, which often wins innovation and design awards for its aluminium joinery, has been nominated for two prizes at the EquipBaie 2016 Innovation Trophy competition (15 to 18 November 2016, Paris Porte de Versailles). Don’t wait to find out which two of Profils Systèmes’ latest innovations have been short-listed for an award out of more than 61 products presented.

EquipBaie, the trade fair for Windows, Locking devices and Solar Protection, awards prizes every two years, rewarding the most innovative products and solutions for all kinds of buildings “in response to the importance of energy transition in the building industry”.

Out of 61 competing products, 23 have been chosen for the final phase of the contest, including 2 from the aluminium joinery specialist, Profils Systèmes!

The contest winners will be revealed on 23 September, but while we wait for the result, you can find out which products Profils Systèmes has presented in the “Joinery" section:

SÉRIE 713, Casement joinery

Series 713 is a range of innovative aluminium casement windows (both outward and inward opening), with a 70mm module providing progressive thermal performance (3 different levels).

The module can be used for visible and concealed opening sections. It combines high-level thermal and acoustic performance with a spare, pure design look, thanks to reduced aluminium sections. It also includes a new opening system which combines outward and hopper opening.

Wallis&Outdoor®, bioclimatic pergola in trapezoid shapes

The Wallis&Outdoor® range is an aluminium pergola system which can be used for building rectangular pergolas, as well as triangular and trapezoid shapes. It provides solar protection in summer via adjustable slats. In winter, it allows the sun in and permits solar gain.

Wallis&Outdoor is innovative because it can be used for unusually-shaped pergolas while retaining excellent water resistance. The system allows slats to be moved up to angles of 45°.

This is possible thanks to the form of the slats and the adjustment process, combined with a patented system for attaching the slats.  Adjustable slats can be attached within guttering via an integrated fixation slot and maintained with screws.
